ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION An electronic beam welding method for a screen cylinder for welding junctions between both ends of rod-like pieces arranged at regular intervals and flanges with an electronic beam is disclosed in which the welding is effected so that the irradiation direction of the beam is directed in the same surface as said junction surface and inclined with respect to a welding direction and the beam penetrates the flanges.
