A payment system for an electronic wallet (16) in the form of a memory card or similar in which the payment of a purchase made in a store is carried out by means of a payment terminal (20) deducting the amount of the purchase made by the electronic wallet holder from the sum remaining in the electronic wallet memory, said payment terminal being connected to a credit card-type banking system. The system comprises an electronic cash unit (14) situated at the venue of the transaction, provided with a read/write device able to read and write in the memory of the electronic wallet and a security module which is used to give an authorization to carry out the transaction, the contents of the memory of the electronic cash unit being increased by a sum equal to the amount of the purchase when the memory of the electronic wallet is read by the read/write device so that the transaction carried out in the store can be processed at the same venue as the transaction.

Système de paiement pour pore-monnaie électronique (16) sous forme d'une carte à mémoire ou similaire dans lequel le paiement d'un achat effectué chez un commerçant est réalisé grâce à un terminal de paiement (20) en défalquant le montant de l'achat effectué par le détenteur du porte-monnaie électronique du montant restant dans la mémoire du porte-monnaie électronique, le terminal de paiement étant connecté à un système bancaire du type CB. Le système comprend une caisse électronique (14) située sur le lieu de la transaction disposant d'un dispositif de lecture/écriture detiné à lire et à écrire dans la mémoire du porte-monnaie électronique et d'un module de sécurité pour donner l'autorisation d'effectuer la transaction, le contenu de la mémoire de la caisse électronique étant augmenté d'un montant égal au montant de l'achat lorsque la mémoire du porte-monnaie électronique est lue par le dispositif de lecture/écriture, de sorte que la gestion d'une transaction effectu~e chez le commerant s'effectue sur le lieu m.SLZERO.me de la transaction.
