ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to an electronic control circuit ensuring protection against short-circuiting and especially against electrical discharge, in particular in domestic electrical appliances such as hairdryers. This circuit comprises a pair of parallel, slightly spaced- apart metal sensing grids disposed in correspondence with each aperture of the appliance, and an electronic control and tripping circuit which maintains energized a relay for closing a switch connected into the electricity feed line. Each of the two grids is connected to the electro- nic control and tripping circuit by a pair of conductor wires through which a supplementary control current constantly circulates, accidental interruption of one of the two circuits each formed by a grid and the two respective connection wires causing tripping of the control circuit.
