Multilevel converter comprising particularly a capacitor (C1, C2..., Cn) and two switches (T1, T'1, for example), for each of its cells. The cells operate successively within a period which is repeated at a converter frequency. In parallel to the charge (C), a filtering circuit (CF) is provided to dissipate the energy from any component having a fundamental frequency corresponding to said converter period. It comprises one or a plurality of series circuits of the RLC type.
