ABSTRACT: The invention relates to an electronic flash device which is provided with a series arrangement of an electronic flash tube and a thyristor, which flash device is equipped with a flash duration limiter (computer electronic flash device). According to the invention a rectifier is connected anti-parallel to the thyristor. As a result a smaller thyristor can be used, while the energy consumpt- ion can be reduced and an unwanted "light spike" at the end of the flash duration can be avoided. - 15 -
