ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus for electronically measuring the size of a foot for determining a properly fitted specific shoe size includes a light sensitive array defined by an opticram dynamic random access memory, a light source for imaging the foot to be measured upon the light sensitive array to effect storage of electrical energy in individual ones of light sensitive elements, a microprocessor including program storage means con- nected through address select logic means to an input of the light sensitive array for directing the sequential reading of the ouput of the individual light sensitive elements, a video display for displaying an image of the foot in response to the output of the light sensitive array, and a data bus for trans- mitting the output of the light sensitive array to the micro- processor and video display. The video display allows the customer to view the process of foot measurement.
