ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The game playing apparatus disclosed herein employs an array of essentially transparent finger contact sensors and, under- lying said sensors, a corresponding array of solid state light sources. The sensors and the light sources are independently connected to electronic circuit means, including a digital processor and a readable memory store, so that each of the light sources can be energized independently of the actuation of the respective sensor. Light sources are energizable in either of two states, a blinking state and a steady state. The processor, operating under instructions contained in the memory store, establishes overall light patterns on the light source array in response to sequences of actuations of the sensors. In addition to generating light patterns, the processor preferably also controls sound generating means for interaction with a game player.
