A process for distributing items, especially industrial maintenance repair and operating (MRO) parts and supplies. The process includes as a first step providing a plurality of vendors for selling the item. Next, an information network by which each vendor can communicate to the other vendors a current inventory quantity and a current price of the item each of the vendors has for sale. A last step includes establishing an agreement among the vendors in which a first vendor agrees to sell to a second vendor, upon demand at a future point in time, up to the then current inventory quantity of the item at the then current price communicated over the information network by the first vendor to the second vendor.
L'invention se rapporte à un processus de distribution d'articles, plus particulièrement de pièces et fournitures de maintenance, de réparation et d'exploitation (MRO). Un premier stade de ce processus consiste à trouver des fournisseurs, qui seront chargés de vendre l'article. Au stade suivant, on met en place un réseau d'information par le biais duquel chaque fournisseur peut communiquer aux autres la quantité des stocks actuels et le prix courant de l'article proposé à la vente par chacun des fournisseurs. Un dernier stade consiste à conclure un accord entre les fournisseurs aux termes duquel un premier fournisseur accepte de vendre à un deuxième fournisseur, selon une demande formulée ultérieurement, jusqu'à concurrence de la quantité des stocks du moment, à un prix du moment qui sera communiqué par le premier fournisseur au deuxième fournisseur par le biais du réseau d'information.
