A method carried out by an electronic device enabled to send and receive electronic messages over a network, including: determining if a new electronic message received by the device is part of a message thread that comprises the new message and at least one prior electronic message previously received at the device; and if the new message is determined to be part of a message thread, comparing address information of the new message with address information of the at least one prior electronic message in the message thread to determine if there has been a change in addressed recipients between the new message and the at least one prior electronic message, and if so, providing a notification to a user of the device of the existence of the change.
L'invention concerne un procédé réalisé par un dispositif électronique activé pour envoyer et recevoir des messages électroniques par un réseau. Ce procédé consiste à déterminer si un nouveau message électronique reçu par le dispositif constitue une partie d'un fil de message qui comprend le nouveau message et au moins un message électronique antérieur reçu précédemment au niveau du dispositif et si le nouveau message est déterminé comme étant une partie d'un fil de message, à comparer les informations d'adresse du nouveau message avec des informations d'adresse du message électronique antérieur dans le fil de message afin de déterminer si une modification a eu lieu au niveau des destinataires adressés entre le nouveau message et le message électronique antérieur et, si tel est le cas, à fournir une notification à un utilisateur du dispositif concernant l'existence de la modification.
