Abstract of the Disclosure ELECTRONIC MOTOR CONTROL SYSTEM FOR CONVEYANCE SUCH AS A WHEELCHAIR A conveyance includes a power transmission that mechanically transmits power from an electric motor to a propulsion element, and that allows the propulsion element to drive the electric motor. The conveyance includes a parking mode in which the electric motor is made to operate as an electrically-loaded generator, and a manual-propelling mode in which the propulsion element is allowed to drive the electric motor. In a preferred embodiment, driving voltage pulses of a pulse- width-modulated driving voltage are supplied to the motor; and dynamic- braking pulses are interposed between respective ones of the driving voltage pulses while continuing to supply the driving voltage pulses to the electric motor.
