Techniques for managing electronic payment instructions include providing a first bank with access to electronic payment instructions associated with a customer account of the first bank and providing a second bank with access to electronic payment instructions associated with a customer account of the second bank. An electronic payment instruction is received over a network from the customer of the first bank, the instruction is to pay, or receive payment from, the customer of the second bank. The electronic payment instruction is stored and sent to at least one of the first bank and the second bank to initiate payment between the customer account of the first bank and the customer account of the second bank.

La présente invention concerne des techniques qui permettent de gérer des instructions de paiement électronique, faisant intervenir une première banque qui a accès à des instructions de paiement électronique associées à un compte client de la première banque, et une seconde banque qui a accès à des instructions de paiement électronique associées à un compte client de la seconde banque. Une instruction de paiement électronique est reçue, via un réseau, en provenance d'un client de la première banque, l'instruction étant de payer une somme au client de la seconde banque ou de recevoir un paiement de celui-ci. L'instruction de paiement électronique est enregistrée et envoyée à la première et/ou à la seconde banque afin de lancer la procédure de paiement entre le compte du client de la première banque et le compte du client de la seconde banque.
