An assembly or system which is capable of calculating the distance one person is from another at close range (for example within a kilometer) by utilising a specified number of transmissions and receipts of signals while accurately timing the time elapsed between the start and end of the set of transmission thus amplifying the time for the electronic signal to register the distance between the persons. Such assembly would have the "Parent" mechanism initiate the series of transmissions and would also have controls to pre-set a limit to the allowable distance between "Parent" and "Child" mechanisms and signal an alert if this limit were exceeded.
