A method and apparatus for operating an electronic program guide on a portable mobile communications device 110 is presented. The portable mobile communications device 110 is part of a larger network that is communicable with a mobile radio access network (MRAN) 120 and capable of receiving broadcasts from a mobile television service provider 132. The portable mobile communications device 110 displays a list of programs 610 available and accepts input 630 that selects one of the programs. This causes a display of the list of options 645 that can be applied to the selected program. The portable mobile communications device 110 then accepts input 650 and performs the selected option for the selected program. The list of options includes an option to record the selected program locally 660, remotely 665, or on a home personal video recorder (PVR) 670. In addition, list of options that can be applied to the selected program includes an option to set a reminder 655 for the selected program.
L'invention porte sur un procédé et un appareil d'utilisation d'un guide électronique de programmes pour dispositif mobile portable (110) de communication, ledit dispositif (110) faisant partie d'un réseau plus étendu communiquant avec un réseau mobile à accès sans fil (MRAN) (120) et pouvant recevoir des émissions d'un fournisseur de services de télévision mobile (132).
