1 PHN 9259 ABSTRACT The invention relates to an electronic relay arrangement and is suitable for use as a repeater in systems for single-current as well as double-current tele- graphy. From the double-current telegraphy an arrangement is known wherein a bistable trigger circuit in the output circuit is switched over by a polarity change in the incom- ing telegraph line in response to which the flux through one of the transformers forming part of the transmission circuit changes direction. The bistable trigger circuit of the output circuit is switched over by means of the resulting voltage pulse. This arrangement has the draw- back that the input and output circuits require individ- ual, electrically isolated supply sources. In addition, only polarity changes are detected and transmitted which causes the noise sensitivity to be increased. According to the invention the input circuit comprises a current switching device which response when a threshold current value of the telegraph line current is exceeded and causes then a current, having a predetermined constant value, to flow through the transmission circuit. The electrical isolation by means of the transmission circuit can be effected by, for example, a light-emitting diode and a photo-transistor.
