ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A watch case back of an electronic wrist watch is pro- vided with means to detect whether said time-piece is worn. When the wrist watch is worn on the arm, the detecting means operates a switching means to energize a display. When the wrist watch is removed, the display is de-energized, so the consumption of battery current is saved.
