A system for toll payment by electronic cash identifies an electronic purse and effects value transfer over a communication system without stopping the mobile (vehicle or person). Mobile identity MID is temporarily correlated with purse identity PID and one or another identity is erased on satisfactory or non-satisfactory completion of the transaction thereby allowing non-payers to be pursued while preserving the principle of anonymity.

Un système pour paiement de péage par monnaie électronique identifie un moyen de paiement électronique et assure le transfert de valeur par un système de communication sans que le véhicule ou la personne mobile n'ait à s'arrêter. L'identité de l'élément mobile MID est temporairement mise en corrélation avec l'identité du moyen de paiement, l'une des identités est effacée dès la réalisation satisfaisante ou non de la transaction, ce qui permet de poursuivre les non payeurs tout en préservant leur anonymat.
