ELECTRONIC VOTING SYSTEM STATEMENT OF INVENTION An electronic voting system including a vote head having an optical unit for displaying candidates and vote selectors with a logic circuit coupled to the selectors, a data center including a memory for storing instructions for accumulating votes cast coupled to the vote head by conductor pairs, a data center logic circuit coupled to a conductor pair and to the memory, means generating pulses over another conductor pair to scan all the vote selectors, the logic circuit adapted to change representation of at least one pulse as a vote se- lector is actuated to provide a modified pulse train that is returned over the first conductor pair to the data center synchronized with the pulse train passed over the second conductor pair to indicate selections at the vote head.
