A cabinet for housing telecommunications equipment in outdoor locations includes an enclosure (20) for containing the telecommunications equipment. A subrack (40) is mounted within the enclosure. A duct (56) directs ambient air from outside the cabinet to the subrack. A fan (80) draws ambient air into an inlet (52) through the duct through the subrack and out of the enclosure. A heater (62) is provided for heating inlet air when ambient temperatures are low.

L'invention concerne une baie pour accueillir un équipement de télécommunications installé à l'extérieur des locaux, ladite baie comprenant une enceinte (20) destinée à contenir l'équipement de télécommunications. A l'intérieur de cette enceinte est monté un châssis (40). Une conduite (56) dirige l'air ambiant depuis l'extérieur de la baie vers le châssis.
