An electrophoretic gel based on polyacrylamide obtainable by photoinitiated polymerization of a mixture containing monoolefinic- and di- and/or polyolefinic monomers and a photoinitiator. The initiator is a compound of general formula (I), where R1 and R2 independently are CH3, C2H5 or C3H7, or R1, R2 together with the carbon atom form a cycloaliphatic ring with 4-8 carbons; R3 = H, CH3, C2H5 or -O-(CH2CH2)n-OH with n = 1-20. The invention also relates to a process for the production of the electrophoretic gel and use of the gel for the electrophoteric separation of nucleic acid fragments. Further, a kit for use in the production of an electrophoretic gel is described.
L'invention concerne un gel électrophorétique à base de polyacrylamide, obtenu par polymérisation photoamorcée d'un mélange contenant des monomères mono-oléfiniques et di-oléfiniques et/ou polyoléfiniques et un photoamorceur. L'amorceur est un composé de formule générale (I) où R¿1? et R¿2? représentent indépendamment CH¿3?, C¿2?H¿5? ou C¿3?H¿7? ou R¿1?, R¿2?, forment conjointement avec l'atome de carbone un noyau cycloaliphatique possédant 4 à 8 atomes de carbone; R¿3? = H, CH¿3?, C¿2?H¿5? ou -O-(CH¿2?CH¿2?)¿n?-OH où n = 1-20. L'invention concerne également un procédé de production du gel électrophorétique, l'utilisation de ce gel à des fins de séparation électrophorétique de fragments d'acide nucléique, et un kit servant à la production de ce gel.
