ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An electrophotographic photoconductor (1) has an intermediate layer (3) between an electroconductive substrate (2) and a photosensitive layer (4) for obtaining excellent electric properties, image qualities, dual abilities against the environmental condition, and productivity thereof. The intermediate layer (3) is made of a hardened film mainly including amino resin, at least one organic compound selected from a group of unsaturated carboxylic acids, unsaturated carboxylic anhydrides, and mixtures thereof, and iodine fixed on the organic compound.
