ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: An electroplateable plastics composition of matter containing (by weight) about 25 to 41 percent carbon black, up to about 7 percent zinc oxide, about 0.15 to about 1.5 percent elemental sulfur, about 0.2 to about 1.5 percent of mercaptobenzothiazole or 2 mercaptobenzothaizyl disulfide the balance being essentially a propylene ethylene copolymer or a homopolymer of ethylene or propylene or a rubber modified ethylene or propylene homopolymer or copolymer. The weight ratio of mercaptobenzothiazole to sulfur is about 0.5 to about 6Ø The particular interrelation of ingredients in the electroplateable composition of matter provides practical utility in the electroplating art and distinguishes the composition of matter from all prior known compositions.
