ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention is concerned with particular electroplating baths suitable for obtaining white deposits of palladium metal. The bath comprises (a) palladosamine chloride; (b) an ammonium salt such as ammonium sulfate or ammonium chloride; (c) chloride ions; and (d) a brightener selected from the group of organic brighteners, inorganic brighteners, and mixtures thereof. A process of using such electroplating baths to produce white deposits of palladium metal on substrates is also disclosed.
