Abstract of the Disclosure Pultruded fiber reinforced plastic substrates are produced which comprise resin, reinforcing filament elements and fine conductive elements such as metal wires or conductive rovings. These conductive element containing pultruded articles are electrostatically coated. The conductive elements run lengthwise within four inches of the surface to be coated and provide increased receptivity to the electrostatically applied coating without significantly: affecting the thermal conductivity of the article.
