ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process for forming a dried coating upon a substrate comprises coating the substrate with a vehicle and subjecting the coated vehicle to treatment with a drying agent, which is electrostati- cally deposited upon the coated vehicle; the process permits a more efficacious drying and is useful in the drying of paints, lacquers, varnishes, printing vehicles, printing inks, liquid adhesives, surface coatings and caulking compounds.
