ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Apparatus for electrostatic powder coating is disclosed, of the type having a booth in which are arranged means to deliver electrostaticly charged powder. The powder delivery means is connected to a supply container. A part of the space within the booth is bounded by one face of a filter which is moved through the booth, the other face of the filter being adjacent the suction side of suction means which acts on the space through the filter. A cleaning arrangement is associated with the filter to remove from it excess powder deposited thereon. The cleaning arrangement is of the type including a suction nozzle which is directed toward said one face of the filter and is connected to suction side of a suction blower with a separator interposed, the outlet of the separator being connected to the supply container. The invention provides advance in the art in that there is virtually no need for the powder extracted by the filter to be reprocessed, whereby the powder circulates in a true close circuit with substantially reduced contamination of same.
