ABSTRACT AN ELECTROSTATICALLY SPUN FIBRE OF A POLYMER MATERIAL The material used in this fibre has a molecular structure that is amorphous or partially oriented, in which connection the surface structure is a component of a foamed layer that surrounds a fibre core that is, in the main, free of pores. The pores are oriented perpendicular to the surface and, at a diameter of 0.01-0.5 microns their cross-section covers 1 99% of the total surface.
