A development apparatus for mixing and applying developer material to a latent image on an image-bearing member in an electrostatographic reproduction machine, such as a copier or printer, includes a blender (10) of the type for mixing developer material having a plurality of blender segments (118) mounted on a shaft (112). A resilient spacer (130) is provided wherein the resilient spacer and the plurality of blender segments are compressed between a pair of stops (128, 132). Residual looseness due to tolerance stack-up is eliminated.
L'invention concerne un dispositif de développement, lequel est conçu pour mélanger un matériau développeur et l'appliquer sur une image latente, sur un élément de support d'image, dans une machine de reproduction électrostatographique, telle qu'un copieur ou une imprimante, et comprend: un mélangeur (10) du type servant à mélanger le matériau développeur et comportant plusieurs segments mélangeurs (118) montés sur un axe (112), ainsi qu'un dispositif d'écartement élastique (130) monté de façon que les segments mélangeurs et lui-même soient comprimés entre une paire de butées (128, 132), cet agencement permettant d'éliminer le jeu résiduel consécutif à l'accumulation des tolérances.
