Element for Insertion into Data-Processing Equipment ABSTRACT The invention concerns an element (1) for insertion into data- processing equipment, the element having electronic circuits (4, 5, 6), a drive collar (9) which engages with a drive shaft when the element (1) is in the operating position, and a power generator with a rotor (8) and stator (12). To provide a power generator capable of powering the electronic circuits, the in- vention calls for the rotor (8) to be a magnet (11) which ro- tates with the drive collar (9) of the element (1), and for the stator (12) to include at least one coil (13, 22) located with- in the field generated by the rotating magnet (11).
