A B S T R A C T This invention consists of an early-in-the-season vegetable planting process whereby the seeds or seedlings, which are contained within a gel and anti-crustant mixture are planted in rows of troughs which are, prior to the planting, covered on the inside with a paper liner, and which, after the said contained mixture is deposited within the said troughs, they are covered with a glued down thin, translucent plastic or paper cover, to make the contained seeds or seedlings en- closed in a sterile enclosure which is safe against late frost, and other growth endangering atmospheric conditions.
