A three-dimensional hydraulically entangled nonwoven composite structure made of nonwoven fibrous web and a fibrous material integrated in the nonwoven fibrous web by hydraulic entanglement is disclosed. The nonwoven composite structure has a greater ability to maintain an embossed pattern when wet and has the ability for the structure to recover after it has been compressed, to a greater degree than previously found. Also disclosed is a method of making an embossed hydraulically entangled nonwoven composite fabric.

L'invention concerne une structure composite non tissée tridimensionnelle à enchevêtrement hydraulique, constituée d'une bande fibreuse non tissée et d'une matière fibreuse incorporée dans la bande fibreuse non tissée par enchevêtrement hydraulique. La structure composite non tissée est mieux à même de conserver un motif gaufré, lorsqu'elle est mouillée, et est capable de reprendre sa forme initiale après avoir été comprimée, et ce dans une plus large mesure que par le passé. L'invention concerne également un procédé de fabrication d'un tissu composite non tissé gaufré à enchevêtrement hydraulique.
