ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A chemiluminescent lightstick with an attached actuating device is stored inside a container having a hinged lid which opens for access to and for display of the light- stick. The container comprises clamping means by which the lightstick is held at a display position in the open con- tainer. The lightstick as clamped in the display position holds open the lid of the container. In this mode, the lightstick and container make a convenient lantern.
