ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An emergency support for bolsterless air spring bogies is disclosed. The emergency support is formed by vertically positioned springs in the vicinity of the ideal turning point, and the emergency support is formed as a coil spring or alternatively as a stack of Belleville washers which concentrically surround the centre pivot. The coil spring or the stack of Belleville washers is pre-loaded in the installed condition and on one side are connected to the under- frame of a carbody and on the other side are facing a contact plate of a transverse member with a clearance.
