The invention relates to an emergency unlocking device for locking and unlocking systems for swinging sliding doors, in particular of rail vehicles. Taking the disadvantages of the known prior art as a starting point, a simple and cost-effective emergency unlocking means is to be provided which is distinguished by a high level of reliability. As a solution, an emergency unlocking device is proposed which is composed of a traction means 32 which engages on a lever system, wherein the traction means 32 engages on a first spring-loaded pivoted lever 33 which is connected via a second lever 34 to a third lever 36. The third lever 36 is attached to the axial shaft 36a of a spring-loaded rotary magnet 37 and has elongate holes 36c in which a bolt 35 is displaceably mounted. When the traction means 32 is subjected to tensile stress, the bolt 35 engages with a fourth lever 21 which is pivotably mounted on a shaft 22, and moves said fourth lever 21. The fourth lever 21 is operatively connected via at least one horizontally arranged coupling rod 24, 25 and deflection unit to a locking rod which can be moved in the vertical direction. A rod 20 via which a force component which brings about the locking and unlocking of the door leaves can be applied engages on the fourth lever 21.
