The present invention refers to the use of rotavirus proteins VP4, VP8 and their derived fusion proteins and peptides, for enhancing the delivery of pharmaceutical agents through the paracellular pathway. These rotavius proteins and derived peptides may addtionally be employed to reduce unwanted cellular adhesion that can occur between cancerous cells, or between normal cells as a result of surgery, injury, chemotherapy, disease, inflammation or other pathological conditions.
La présente invention se rapporte à l'utilisation de protéines de rotavirus VP4, VP8 et leurs protéines et peptides de fusion dérivés permettant d'améliorer la distribution d'agents pharmaceutiques à travers le trajet paracellulaire. Ces protéines de rotavirus et peptides dérivés peuvent servir en outre à réduire l'adhésion cellulaire indésirable susceptible d'apparaître entre des cellules cancéreuses ou entre des cellules normales à la suite d'une intervention chirurgicale, d'une lésion, d'une chimiothérapie, d'une maladie, d'une inflammation ou d'autres états pathologiques.
