ABSTRACT The present invention provides for a receptacle for storage of empty glass, metal or plastic food containers. The receptacle has an interior chamber defined by back, front, bottom and side surfaces, the interior chamber being divided into a plurality of different chamber regions by a series of portions. At least two of the chamber regions are of different sizes to accommodate different sized glass, metal or plastic food containers. The receptacle includes means for removably attaching the receptacle to a support surface such that it is supported on the surface for loading of empty food containers and can be removed from the surface and carried to the recycling bin for emptying of the empty food containers into the bin. The receptacle further includes handle means for aiding in the carrying of the receptacle.
