Disclosed is an emulsified alkenylsuccinic acid sizing agent useful for acid papermaking. The sizing agent has a solid concentration of at least 25% by weight and comprises an alkenylsuccinic acid which is the reaction product of a branched internal olefin and maleic anhydride and which has been dispersed in water by an emulsifying and dispersing agent comprising polyvinyl alcohol. The sizing agent results in good storage stability and has an excellent sizing effect at a low addition ratio immediately after completion of high-temperature papermaking and over a wide pH range.
Divulgation concernant une solution de collage à base d'acide alcénylsuccinique en émulsion, utile pour la fabrication du papier. La solution de collage a une concentration de solides d'au moins 25 % en poids et renferme un acide alcénylsuccinique, produit de réaction d'une oléfine interne ramifiée et d'anhydride maléique, dispersé dans l'eau par un émulsifiant et un dispersant à base de poly(alcool vinylique). La solution de collage donne une bonne stabilité de conservation ainsi qu'un excellent effet de collage, et ce à un faible taux d'addition immédiatement après l'achèvement de la fabrication du papier à haute température et dans un grand intervalle de pH.
