An emulsifier system for oil in water emulsions is a mixture of salts of a sulphonic acid and a di-carboxylic acid containing from 10-500 carbon atoms together with a C5-C25 monocarboxylic acid or its salt, a coupling agent and/or a non-ionic emulsifier have the benefits of emulsifying power with reducing foaming and corrosive tendencies.
