The present invention relates to steel surfaces with a zinc or zinc-alloy coating comprising a vitreous enamel layer and a process for the enamelling of zinc or zinc-alloy precoated steel surfaces. The zinc or zinc-alloy coating on the steel surface has a thickness in the range of 1 to 30 µm. The vitreous enamel layer is essentially free of adherence providing oxides selected from the group of Co, Ni, Cu, Sb or Mn.

L'invention concerne des surfaces en acier à revêtement en zinc ou en alliage de zinc et comprenant une couche d'émail vitreux, ainsi qu'un procédé d'émaillage de surfaces en acier préenrobées avec du zinc ou un alliage de zinc. Le revêtement de zinc ou d'alliage de zinc sur la surface en acier présente une épaisseur comprise entre 1 et 30 mu m.
