ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A longitudinally bendable reflective extrusion is provided in which a thin flat composite metallized strip is encapsulated in a chin sheath of transparent plastic by extruding the transparent plastic about the metallized strip. The hot encapsulant is preferably permanently laterally curved with the metal film being positioned to be visible through the convex portion of the curve. In the composite metallized strip, a metal film having a thickness of less than about 25 microns is sandwiched between and bonded to a thin transparent layer of polyethylene terephthalate and a layer of pigmented polyvinyl chloride which helps to provide the strength needed to avoid delamination as the composite metallized strip is drawn through the extruder.
