Abstract of the Disclosure This invention is directed to a method of incorporating a radioactive waste in a thermosettable resin. The method is characterized in that one mixes an aqueous solution or suspension of the waste with a vinayl ester resin, an unsaturated polyester resin, or a mixture thereof and cures the resulting water-in-oil emulsion under conditions such that the maximum temperature of the emulsion is maintained below 100°C. Radioactive wastes incorporated in thermosettable resins by the method of this invention are suitable for storage in landfills or other designated disposal sites.
