Therapeutic garments or devices for enclosing appro- priate body parts, such as a mitten (50), a bootie (80), an elongate strip (130) and the like, are fashioned with poly- organosiloxane layers (52, 54, 82, 86) having particles dis- persed therein which absorb microwave energy and emanate heat in response. The silicone rubber layers (52, 54, 82, 86) are enclosed in respective cloth covers (56, 64, 102, 104, 110) and are stitched together along their lateral margins (106, 112, 126) to form a body part enclosure. The cover- ing elements are made of materials which are substantially non-absorptive of microwave energy.

L'invention concerne des vêtements ou des dispositifs thérapeutiques enveloppant les parties appropriées du corps tels que des moufles (50), des chaussons (80), une bande allongée (130) et l'équivalent fabriqués avec des couches de polyorganosiloxane (52, 54, 82, 86) dans lesquelles sont réparties des particules absorbant l'énergie des micro-ondes et répondant à cette dernière en dégageant de la chaleur. Les couches de caoutchouc silicone (52, 54, 82, 86) sont intégrées dans des enveloppes en tissu respectives (56, 64, 102, 104, 110) et sont cousues ensemble sur leurs bords latéraux (106, 112, 126) de manière à former une enveloppe destinée à une partie du corps. Les matières dans lesquelles les éléments d'enveloppe sont fabriqués n'absorbent pratiquement pas l'énergie des micro-ondes.
