recessed electrical device/electronic components interface enclosure for allowing controlling electronic components to provide control of, and/or signalling from, an electrical device or an electrical circuit. - An electronic components enclosure is attached to, and may be detachable from, an electrical device enclosure. A removable dividing plate, to which controlling and/or signalling electronic component circuit boards or devices are attached, may be inserted into or retracted from the electrical device enclosure, providing a division between the wiring for the electrical device and the wiring for electronic controlling or signalling components, while positioning the electronic components within the electronic components enclosure. An electronic controlling and/or signalling device is positioned adjacent to an aperture in the dividing plate in a manner which permits controlled pins or terminals to appear within the electrical device enclosure and controlling pins or terminals to appear within the electronic components enclosure. Apertures are provided in both the electrical device enclosure and electronic components enclosure to permit the entry of wiring. A clamping plate with a scored knock-out permits the electrical device enclosure to be used with various wiring systems. in attachable angle clamping device provides a means of attaching the electrical device enclosure to wallboard for use in retrofitting situations.
