Multiword information is based on multibit symbols disposed in relative contiguity with respect to a medium, and is encoded with a wordwise interleaving and wordwise error protection code for providing error locative clues across multiword groups. In particular, the clues originate in high protectivity clue words (BIS) that are interleaved among clue columns, and also in synchronizing columns constituted from synchronizing bit groups. The synchronizing columns are located where the clue columns are relatively scarcer disposed. The clues are directed to low protectivity target words (LDS) that are interleaved in a substantially uniform manner among target columns which form uniform-sized column groups between periodic arrangements of clue columns and synchronizing columns.
Des informations multimots sont basées sur des symboles multibits disposés dans une contiguïté relative par rapport à un support, ces informations étant codées à l'aide de fonctions d'entrelacement de mots et de code de protection contre les erreurs afin de fournir des indices de détection des erreurs sur des groupes multimots. Les indices proviennent en particulier de mots indices haute protection (BIS) entrelacés parmi des colonnes d'indices et des colonnes de synchronisation, ces dernières étant constituées à partir de groupes de bits de synchronisation et se trouvant là où les colonnes d'indices sont disposées de manière plus éparse. Les indices sont dirigés vers des mots cibles faible protection (LDS) entrelacés de manière sensiblement uniforme dans des colonnes cibles afin de former des groupes de colonnes de taille identique, entre des colonnes d'indices et de colonnes de synchronisation disposées en alternance.
