Disclosed are coatings and materials that resist bacterial colonization and encrustation for use in medical devices and urological applications. The coating includes acidic chelating components, reactively bound to a hydrophilic polyurethane prepolymer along with noble metal combinations or antibacterials. The acidic and noble metal combinations can also be incorporated as additives during plastic molding of medical devices. Continuous antibacterial surfaces are provided by such coatings and materials.
L'invention porte sur des revêtements et des matériaux, utilisés sur des instruments à usage médical et dans le domaine de l'urologie, qui résistent à la colonisation bactérienne et aux incrustations. Le revêtement renferme des composants acides chélateurs, liés de manière réactive à un prépolymère polyuréthanne hydrophile ainsi qu'à des combinaisons de métal noble ou à des antibactériens. Il est également possible d'incorporer ces combinaisons consistant en des substances acides et du métal noble comme produits d'addition durant le moulage plastique des dispositifs à usage médical. Ces revêtements et matériaux permettent d'obtenir des surfaces antibactériennes sans discontinuités.
