The present invention is directed to an end cap assembly for use with a table soccer playing figure for improved ball control and handling during play of the soccer game. The end cap assembly is secured to the foot portion of the playing figure. The end cap assembly includes a plurality of interconnected sidewalls. A bottom portion connects to the plurality of interconnected sidewalk. The bottom portion and the plurality of interconnected sidewalls form an interior compartment. The interior compartment is adapted to receive at least a portion of the foot portion of the playing figure. The end cap assembly further includes an opening in one end of the interior compartment.
