END CONNECTORS FOR FILAMENT WOUND TUBES Abstract of the Disclosure A coupling assembly for axially connecting a filament- wound composite tube to another body is disclosed. The coup- ling assembly end connector comprises an enlarged region at an end of the tube that encircles an extension on a coupling unit that is threadable onto another body. A sleeve surround- ing the enlarged end of the tube is internally threaded at each end and is threaded to the coupling unit. The coupling assembly is drawn together by a threaded ring around the tube that engages the enlarged end of the tube and is threaded into the sleeve.
