An endarterectomy surgical instrument and procedure for removing plaque from a selected length of an artery and surgical instruments for cutting plaque build- ups. The endarterectomy surgical instrument has means for developing an image of the surgical site so that probing of the artery can be observed without requiring opening the artery along the selected length over which the plaque is removed.
L'invention concerne un instrument chirurgical destiné à l'endartériectomie et un procédé d'ablation d'une plaque d'une longeur sélectionnée d'une artère, ainsi que des instruments chirurgicaux permettant de couper des accumulations plaquettaires. L'instrument chirurgical pour endartériectomie est doté d'un dispositif permettant de développer une image du champ opératoire afin de pouvoir pratiquer l'exploration d'une artère sans devoir ouvrir l'artère sur la longueur sélectionnée où la plaque est enlevée.
