ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A positive displacement pump includes a flexible endless belt disposed around spaced, parallel drive rollers within a housing, the belt is non-extensible in the peripheral direction and carries elastically deformable teeth on its outer surface; the spaces between the teeth form conveying chambers whose volumes vary in an expansion - contraction sense as the belt runs around a roller between inlet and outlet openings in the housing.
