ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An endless loop strap of low elongation and improved stability, and comprising a plurality of closely spaced windings of a warp strand or narrow tape fused to- gether in a closely spaced side-by-side relationship in a flat layer of polymer material. The warp strand has opposed ends on a respective edge of the flat layer. The strap is formed by coating the warp strand with a molten polymer as the strand passes through an extruder die and this strand is then wound on a mandrel in a helical manner with the strands positioned side-by-side. External pres- sure is applied to the strand to squeeze the molten polymer as it hardens along its travel on the mandrel. The loop straps are formed by severing predetermined widths of a sleeve formed by the warp strands and polymer material on the mandrel. - 1 -
