The outer surface of an endless track of a track-type vehicle is provided with a series of longitudinally spaced treads which are defined by a non-uniform shape having greater width in an area of the outer surface which is located in vertical registry with the rolling path of rollers forming part of the vehicle track assembly thereby optimizing pressure distribution over the profiles when the track is in use.
